Abdul Malek's Story

Abdul Malek has been proactively maintaining two businesses successfully for years. He has a scrap shop and a yarn shop. He is also the co-president of the association. Malek wants his children to join his scrap dealing business as soon as they finish their education. He thinks after the training scrap dealers became more experienced. And the discussions that happen through the association are very fruitful. He wants his children to experience the same thing. He said, “Receiving the grant money was not the most important part. The training process gave us much knowledge which is irreplaceable with money.”

After joining the association his ideas about his shop got more structured. He got to know about the policies and understood everything better. Now, he is a trained scrap dealer.

UNDP helped me become a better human and a better businessman. I will keep this honor by doing as much good work as possible.
