For some scrap dealers, scrap dealing is a family legacy. Md Aiyub is amongst them. He joined his family business at a very young age. He is successfully continuing the business despite many difficulties.
As he described, his main issue is collecting scraps from the refugee camp. He faces constant trouble with the authorities for not having the necessary papers. He urges, “I just want the necessary papers to run my business smoothly.” Despite the trouble, he has seen quite a big success in his business.
He welcomes the initiative of the association. He said, “Association is the reason my business is so big right now. I bought necessary machines and renewed my business with the Grant money.” His goal is to invest more money and expand this business soon. “I am proud of the work I am doing for the world and my community,” he added.
Before the Association, nobody knew me. Everybody knows me now and respects me accordingly
